Smog test vs. smog check?
It's that time of the year where I need to renew my registration for my car. I received a letter from the DMV saying I need to get a Smog Check. I know there are Smog Test Only places and I know I can get a smog check at my usual gas station. Someone told me I need a smog test but the fact that my DMV paper says "check" doesn't make sense! When I google the differences between a check and test I am not getting any answers. If anything I am getting results such as "Smog Check tests" which confuses me more! Do I need a simple check or do I need to go to a smog test only place?

Test and Check are the same.
The only diffrence in smog stations are:
Test only Center
Star Center
You renewal paper will specify if you need to go to one of these. But weather they use Check or Test that does not matter.
