My dad often calls me (it s pronounced) Pon-yee. I ve always known it to be a term of endearment in Polish. I m having my first baby girl in March and want to use that term with her but first I want to check on the spelling and validity of the term :)

I just got my first iPhone so I have a question. The mail app that it comes with does not update my inbox automatically. In other words, I have to click on the app and refresh the inbox manually to get my new mail. My yahoo app that I downloaded updates automatically and I get a notification every time I get a new email. I would like my other email account to do this. Should I just download the gmail app (I have two emails) or is there a way for the app that came with the phone to so this for me? Thank you!

I have videos on YouTube that I have selected to "monetize." When I uploaded a new video today I noticed my other videos have made money. How do I claim this money/have it sent to me??

It's that time of the year where I need to renew my registration for my car. I received a letter from the DMV saying I need to get a Smog Check. I know there are Smog Test Only places and I know I can get a smog check at my usual gas station. Someone told me I need a smog test but the fact that my DMV paper says "check" doesn't make sense! When I google the differences between a check and test I am not getting any answers. If anything I am getting results such as "Smog Check tests" which confuses me more! Do I need a simple check or do I need to go to a smog test only place?

I got the new iPad (not mini) for Christmas and am still learning how to use it. I recorded a video from the iPad and then clicked the share arrow and selected YouTube. It said "preparing video" and begins to load. Then it just stops and the screen goes black. When I wake up my iPad and unlock it, the progress has stopped. I did this a few times and got the same results. So I decided to email it to myself but it says the video is too long (13 min). I think this is pretty ridiculous and am wondering if there is something I can do so I can use my iPad to upload YouTube videos. Thanks.

I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro installed on my computer but I still get a symbol on the bottom of my screen with a red shield and an X on it. Under Windows Security Center it says that virus protection is not found and my computer could be at risk. I don't understand because I have Malwarebytes! Do I need to enable something? What's going on?

There is a cancelled HBO show called In Treatment that I really want to rewatch. When I google the show along with the word Netflix, it appears that it's available to watch. When I go onto Netflix on my tv, it isn't available. Is there more of a selection on Netflix's website? Is there a different package I need to pay for to see more movies/shows? Or does Netflix simply have info and ratings about movies/shows they do not carry (which would be silly)? Any help is appreciated!

Is the HBO show 'In Treatment' available on Netflix? I am very confused because I am a Netflix member and it doesn't show up when I search for the show but on Netflix's website, it appears to be available. Unless I am misunderstanding somehow...

I have had a Youtube account for a few years and a Gmail address that corresponds to it (which I never use). I'm about to start grad school and received a Gmail address through the school. So now I have 2 Gmail addresses. My problem is that whenever I sign in to check my school email, my computer automatically signs into Youtube through that email address as well. Is there a way to leave my Youtube signed in to my original Gmail address that my main Youtube account is synced with? I go on Youtube daily and I'd rather not have to sign out, switch email addresses and sign back in, only to have to do it again if I check my school email. Any advice?

I just got Microsoft Office 2010 for my computer. It is a Windows XP (Dell computer). When I went to install Office I got a Setup Error saying "system is unable to proceed due to the following error(s): To install and use this product, you must be running one of the following operating systems:

x86 platform

First of all, I don't know how to tell whether or not I have a x86 platform or x64 platform. And second, how do I get a compatible operating system? Can I do it myself or do I need to bring it to my computer doctor and spend money? Thank you so much in advance.

When I went to take my pill tonight (Sunday), I noticed it was already gone. I then realized that I took 2 yesterday. I am on my last week on this pack and will start my period the following Sunday. I am wondering if tonight I should not take one and get back to my normal schedule tomorrow night (Monday) by taking Monday's pill on time. Or if I should take Monday's a day early and finish my pack early. Finishing my pack early will throw me off though since I start a new pack every 4th Sunday. Any advice? Thanks.

I am genuinely curious about this topic. I am not discriminating at all, I actually love gays/lesbians. I just graduated with a BA in psychology and I was out to dinner last night with my mom and her friend. They were talking about how it is very important to be married if you are going to have kids. I have learned in numerous classes that while being married is advantageous if you have kids, what it really comes down to is having a strong and positive male and female influence/role model in the kids life. My mom's friend then brought up that research shows that being raised with gay/lesbian parents has no negative effects on the kids, which I have read as well. So I'm wondering, how do these theories coexist?

My memory of this game is very hazy. All I remember is there was this girl and I think she rode a space bike and she weighed things and collected sun beams or something like that. And the money or prize she got were called star bucks. There was also a princess. Lol this is so random. Any ideas what it's called? I played it in the 90s!

I believe I'm using "religious fanaticism" the right way. Okay, so I consider myself Agnostic. Same with my mother. My dad considers himself Atheist. My sister calls herself Wiccan and is very severe with it. Going to meetings, believing she is some type of witch (there are other psychological problems). She is obsessive with this. My family couldn't understand why she became like this, so fanatical about this religion. My brother has always been a little curious about religion and open-minded. He's 19 and now has a girlfriend who's family is VERY religious (Christianity). Now he's becoming obsessive about it, going to parks and inviting strangers to believe in his beliefs (one of my pet peeves). He is acting the same way as my sister except in a more socially acceptable religion, I believe. Where does this come from? Why do people get like this? Is it an obsessive personality or something else? My mom and I just talk about it and wonder why 2 of her kids became this way. Any opinions or thoughts are welcomed.

I want to be able to bring my iHome outside and play my iPod but my iPod won't play unless the iHome is plugged into an outlet. I have batteries in it so I don't understand why I can't play music unless it's plugged in. The iHome stays on and works when it's unplugged (since there's batteries in it) but it won't play the iPod. I've had it for a few years and it has always been like this. Is there something wrong with it or do iHomes just not play iPods unless they're plugged into a wall? That would be really stupid if that's the case!

I have noticed that whenever my mom is on her period and every once in a while she drinks a little bit too much wine, the next morning is hell for her; she would always tell me it's the "worst headache ever" while blaming herself because she drank while on her period. I never knew what it felt like or what she was going through until now. About 2 months ago I went out with my friends, while on my period, and drank heavily to celebrate my 21st bday. This was the first time I got drunk while on my period, although I have been drunk before. I got home around 2 a.m. and went to bed. In a few hours I woke up with a headache but not a terrible one so I was able to fall back asleep. I woke back up at around 8 a.m. with the most pain I've ever been in. I had the WORST headache ever, worse than a migraine. I literally wanted to take chunks of my head out where it was hurting lol. So basically I now know that I will be like my mom in this area so I am wondering if anyone else is like this or if anyone knows why this is. Thanks! :)

I want to record a video with my Cannon camera and I was wondering if there is any way for me to plug my camera into my computer and be able to watch the video as it's recording through my computer. does anyone know how to do that?

i'm using Pravana creme color, 1 part level 4 and 1 part level 5. i got the 0 developer in order for the dye to be semi permanent (if it was 10 or higher, the color will be permanent). i hear a lot of people saying you use equal amounts of the dye and developer but i'll hear some different things also. any advice?

i had my hair dresser color my hair dark brown now i'm trying to keep it up myself to save money. i just got Pravana creme hair color and i got Pravana creme developer. I learned about this brand from a youtube video i saw on coloring your hair at home. in the video, she said to use semi permanent hair color and not permanent hair color because permanent hair color will leave bands on "demarkation" when you wanna change colors. so i got all the EXACT products she had and it looks like the products are permanent so now i'm worried and confused! can someone tell me if this is true because i need to know if i need to get a different hair color now.... and what is the purpose of the developer?? thank you! i have no idea what i'm doing lol!

i have been using st tropez tanning lotion for about 2 months now and I really like it and I love the color it gives me (i am naturally pretty fair) like I still have the really deep looking tan I get during summer because I tan easily. But the thing is is that I have to drive like 25 min everytime I run out because that is the closest place that sells it, and it's pricey...I'm wondering if there's anything out there that is just as good. I want a gradual self tanner that does NOT make me look orange(st tropez turns you a gorgeous brown)... any suggestions from personal experience? I want a very deep tan...thank you!
