Why are feminists so concerned about women who are raped when the real victims are falsely accused men?

Update:

Yes, I'm being provocative.

When someone speaks ONLY about concern for the falsely accused then it does indeed seem like his/her compassion towards actual victims is nonexistent.

I'd love to see a better balance (it can even add up to 100%).

But the problem with focusing on penalizing false rape accusations is that it will inevitable make people afraid to come forward who were actually raped. People will worry about not being believed (and now potentially punished.)

This concern needs to be considered when trying to discourage fraudulent accusations and it's completely absent from the rhetoric that I have seen.

    I don't understand if you are being provocative because you don't want the focus on false rape? A lot of victims do not report rapes for fear of threats and shame. Perhaps the intent of MRAs focusing on false rape IS to stop women from reporting rape for fear of being accused of lying. The result will be even more victims failing to report sex crimes. Don't understand why MRAs want to breed fear into women. They seem to conveniently forget that children and men are rape victims too.

    This is the belief of sexist men who believe the world revolves around men. They see falsely accused men are men - so their lives are obviously worth more than women's -they see women as liars - if a woman is raped, she lying or she likely asked for it or was drunk or wore the wrong clothes or lied about her age or she should have not gone to a party and what's the problem if she was drugged and doesn't remember a thing oh and the big one - if she complains she is playing the victim card - like what happened to her didn't matter - like there was no trauma, like no rape victims are murdered or commit suicide.

    The falsely accused are only a drop in the bucket compared to the number of victims who don't report a rape because they don't want to have to be called a false accuser or be blamed for the rape or shamed in public - our society is prejudiced against rape victims I think and exaggerating false rape accusers is part of it - it's about attacking EVERY VICTIM and allowing rapists to go free.

    @™Ybab Krahsevol Proven perjury is less then 1% - it needs to be proven to be perjury - I'll give you 1% - I have seen so little compassion for rape victims and so much attack on them here - it's not even 10% compassion - most of the time it is ZERO from sexists who do this

    Edit Edit - @™Ybab Krahsevol Rape does have to be proven so I suspect the police would not even give your hypothetical $lut the time of day if she was giving blow jobs in the parking lot but even prostitutes get raped and many many get killed - being a prostitute is more dangerous and the most dangerous job any man does - and you can believe these women who are murdered are raped too but my point is women are real victims here and ignoring their rights is not helpful - what you are suggesting is that any women who gives a BJ in the parking lot is fair game and deserves to be brutalized - unfortunately too many rapists agree with you and some police too so you have men like Robert Pickton killing 49 because the police could care less to do a proper investigation because these women were native and prostitutes

    So woman who were raped are not real victims? A person who is raped is a victim just as much as someone who was falsely accused. Don't ask questions like that unless you want to be seen as a rapist. You must be mentally retarded.

    You see, I know you're trolling here, but there is this element of reality in your question, and that element is this:

    WE CANNOT DISCUSS FALSE RAPE ACCUSATIONS UNTIL RAPE IS OBLITERATED FROM THE PLANET LIKE SMALL POX WAS

    This is essentially the sentiment of EVERY feminist - that the issue of false rape accusations cannot be discussed until the issue of rape (and the "wage gap" and the second shift and sexist tropes in video games pretty much every other gripe feminists have) is resolved.

    I honestly think 99.9% of all men think passing a roofie is disgusting. I think 99.9% of all men think forcible rape is deplorable. I think you'll start to see some drop off when alcohol is involved, but still, the overwhelming majority of men are going to see a man taking advantage of a woman's inebriation as a lowly act.

    But, for some unexplained reason, Feminists think that if a man speaks ONLY about his concern for men falsely accused, that he is a rape apologist. What you and most feminists are asking is that we dedicate 100% of our energy to stand with you about rape, and then an additional 10% to false rape accusations.

    Hopefully, you'll see the subtle point in my impossible math.

    +++++

    EDIT

    +++++

    Ya Coffee - I'd be perfectly content if those 1% of perjurers were held accountable for capriciously lobbing an accusation like it were a badminton birdie. The problem is that you seem to think that men, once again due to their disposable status, are acceptable collateral damage and the sacred and exalted female must be shielded from consequences.

    Try to treat the two issues separately.

    I'm adamantly opposed to rape - the knock-down beat 'em up variety of rape. I'll march at one of your damn parades against ******* who use roofies. But understand me that you might start losing me if we're talking about some girl who willingly gives BJs in an alley and then explains her absence to her girlfriends by claiming she was raped. But as long as she leaves it as a convenient excuse to spare herself the in-group slut shaming (and make no mistake about it - women slutshame far more than men do) it's all hunky dory.

    BUT when she then files a false police report and identifies a man with whom she WILLINGLY had a sexual encounter, that is a separate issue.

    Why do you refuse to see that?
