What are those wildflowers in the Southwest?

They look like small sunflowers, and grow on the highways and roadsides in August and September. Does anybody know the common or Latin name?

Probably black-eyed Susan's otherwise known as Rudbeckia.

Common name is Tickseed, botanical name is Coreopsis. Many varieties to choose from. They are seeded by the state to keep mowing costs down and for their beauty.
