there is no way to loose wight in targeted regions within the body, fat distribution is mainly genetic. The best way would be to track your macro nutrient intake and adjust it as required to reach your fitness goals. resistance training can be more beneficial as it has the effect of increasing basal metabolism and steady state cardio has the inverse effect over time. in short, cut out the cardio, lift weights and track your macros pretty basic stuff
