    s = cost of a senior citizen ticket

    c = cost of a child ticket

    On the first day, 4s+9c=86

    On the second day, 2s+8c=64

    Multiply the second equation by -2 to get

    -4s-16c= -128

    4s+9c=86

    Combine both equations to get

    -7c= -42

    Divide both sides by -7 to get

    c=6

    plug that back in as c to get

    s=8

    4s + 9c = 86

    2s + 8c = 64

    MULTIPLY EQUATION 2 BY 2

    4s + 16c = 128

    4s + 9c = 86

    SUBTRACT

    7c = 42

    c = $6

    s = $ 8 ANSWER
