why is it on certain TV programs?

like home improvement programs/house sale programs when the presenter knocks on the door the occupants of the house are so surprised , yet they never question that there is a TV camera crew in their house filming them opening the door?

    They get paid to act the part of being surprised - Not bad for getting a make over if that's all you have to do.

    It's easy. The cameramen are all invisible ghosts.
