What does it mean to be a "real, complete human being"?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz7D8e3tv-M

Regardless of one's faith or religion, can Krishna Das's narrative resonate as a description of being real, being awake, being at one with the universe and with Source/God? When we no longer fear our "personal" life being threatened in any way, by anything, and no longer have to protect or hoard or see ourselves as lacking in anything, are we not then fulfilled...full filled with Love...simply filled full in the most "extra" ordinary way...magnificently provided for without restrictions, without barter or bargains, without having to earn our way?

The prospect of living life in this way, unencumbered and embracing all with Love, is so "love"ly, so enticing and amazing. Yet here we are (myself included), living so small and limited...clinging to the boundaries we've placed because we fear letting go. It makes me weep...both for the limitations we hold so dear and for the prospect of embracing boundless, inclusive Love.

As per the scripture of true Guru, a complete human being should possess six characteristics as follows:

Through the Mantra of the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, one meditates on the All-pervading Lord.

Those who have the wisdom to look alike upon pleasure and pain, live the immaculate lifestyle, free of vengeance.

They are kind to all beings; they have overpowered the five thieves.

They take the Kirtan of the Lord's Praise as their food; they remain untouched by Maya, like the lotus in the water.

They share the Teachings with friend and enemy alike; they love the devotional worship of God.

They do not listen to slander; renouncing self-conceit, they become the dust of all.

Whoever has these six qualities, O Nanak, is called a Holy friend. ||40||

At another place it is said that complete human being never gets puzzled in any odd circumstances.

We are all "real & complete" beings exactly as we are. Yes, we have flaws, but that's why we're here in this material world... to learn lessons. Of course there are routes we can take to make life more palatable, and we will do that when and if we choose to learn that lesson. The importance should be put on how we treat other people, not necessarily what "kind" of person we feel that we are. When we shift the focus from ourselves to others, magic happens for all involved. šŸ’–

    Beautiful message in the video.

To get to your question, a real, complete human being reaches that stage through ascending level of realization...

    1. "One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries or elated when there is happiness, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady mind."

    2. "A person is said to be established in self-realization and is called a yogi [or mystic] when he is fully satisfied by virtue of acquired knowledge and realization. Such a person is situated in transcendence and is self-controlled. He sees everythingā€”whether it be pebbles, stones or goldā€”as the same, with equal vision.

    3. "The humble sages, by virtue of true knowledge, see with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog-eater [outcaste]. "

4."A person is considered still further advanced when he regards honest well-wishers, affectionate benefactors, the neutral, mediators, the envious, friends and enemies, the pious and the sinners all with an equal mind."

    5. "One who is not envious but is a kind friend to all living entities, who does not think himself a proprietor and is free from false ego, who is equal in both happiness and distress, who is tolerant is a rea, complete human being who sees the divine seated in the heart of every being."

Developing Head, Heart, Hand and Soul together along(-not developing any one or two alone-) and after , dedicating them to the service of others as that would be the only way of truly fulfilling oneself in a lasting way.

Humans are real but not complete. Completion comes after attaining Self Realisation.

As mentioned in the last segment of film and through my own experience it is absence of fear.

Fear is so much a part of us daily we don't see it or even know it is there.

What to me not in any religious stands but a truth that the God of the universe rested on the seventy day from all His work He had done; As if speaking what is to of becoming real human, rest from all work (fear) and now real to them( as creation, as his body. And in it has no place feared any. For if He rested He then has acceptance for what was before him to come to life; that Word of common in all things that touches all, a human to being. What is then heard when Heard, its own now natural of form God; image to its place, rest has done it, its real you a new in the Kingdom.

The complete is a place of surrender all, sanctified it; because all do live by it, and none feels he needed to knowledge anything to attain; but to surrender to it and letting truth find its own way. But being truly real to the rest without fear-any, as Jesus said, ā€œ For my yoke is pleasaā†”nt (who we are) and my burdeā†”n is light.ā€

    As he "love"ly then (yoke is pleasaā†”nt) human;

As he willā€™s "love"ly (and my burdeā†”n is light); truth is you, Human.

Life is form fitted to o n e ā€¦,(image of God) It needs no other than what is before him and what is before him is just rest of him that o n e; and if he is not heard in of him then of delight he is then short of what all can seek and whom a human be the gift the Creation.

    (1) Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.(2) By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.(3) Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. (Genesis 2)

What makes it real standing before a holy man is because even you are holy before now him? (You keep word, you keep the word? ( it was sanctified it,) ( moment; "time" {holy man}, times {before now} and half time {him}). So I say what makes any other, time, deferent?

Verily, verily, I say unā†”to you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death. (John 8:51)

It was not the holy man that sanctified it, it was believing that did it, word.
