They got rid of every single offensive weapon (and half the defensive ones). Bad personnel decisions coupled with worse coaching an a lack of leadership from both players and staff. Also, butt fumble + Rex Ryan = laughingstocks.

BQ: new head coach, decent draft picks and a new QB (not named Geno Smith). Luckily the Jets will likely have the number 1 draft pick in 2014.

They had an elite Defense led by the best cover corner since Deion Sanders and a strong running game which set up their passing attack. That was then, this is now. Revis is moved on, Sanchez looks the same he did as a rookie and that o line is gone besides Mangold. They also have no good RBs. This is simply a team in need of an influx of talent or a franchise QB who can carry the team until they can restock on talent.

Again, effective running game and great defense. Geno will probably do better than the 12 touchdowns and 20 interceptions Sanchez threw in 2009. They exceeded expectations in 2009 and will again this season.

The fix will be new coach and clean house of the problems.
