HELP! I think my mom read my diary!!!?
Today when I got home from school my mom gave my grandma some blankets. My heart sank when I saw them.
I had those blankets under my bed, where I hid my diary.
My diary was just laying under my bed (along with 2 other personal notebooks)
with my pen in a different spot (I used it as a bookmark)
I feel sick to my stomach. Literally sick. I wrote so much in it. From crushes, to fights between her and I, my struggle with self-harm that she didnt know about (clean since April!) and my eating habits (I resorted to starving myself a few weeks ago) I've since been eating normally.
I think she's read it because she gave me lots to eat. And mentioned eating disorders.
That diary had my deepest most personal thoughts in it. I'm so afraid if she did read it. I feel so horrible. I don't want to confront her with it though. She's been acting cheery and okay, but she is great at hiding things
please help! What should I do!

Just because someone sees a diary or journal doesn't mean they read it.
My oldest is 17 & often leaves her diary in areas where it is seen or even open. I have never even glanced at it. When she was about 13 she said I could read it but I told her thanks for the offer but you deserves a free place to express herself. I did tell her if there is something important to her that she wants me to read I will read it.
As for her giving you a lot of things to eat - You are a growing child. You need to eat. Also it is normal for parents to make their kids aware of unhealthy habits like eating disorders.
I'm a mom & if I thought my child had an eating disorder I'd take her to the doctor. Not feed her.

Ask her. She is your mother and probably suspected something was wrong/ was going on with you, so it's not likely she actually didn't know everything.
Also, make clear to her that you have since been doing better. :)

Play her game and get positive attention from her. wont hurt! but dont abuse the attention either. then sack up, put your big girl pants and confront her. you cant live with fear your whole life

Just ask her if she read it, no big deal!
