I have been accused more of being stoned when I type than making hysterical rants.

The bottom line is this:

the vast majority of people on this planet believe in some form of higher power, even the vast majority of true scientists. many just believe God used evolution for the end product ( I disagree ).

over four BILLION people believe in a higher power. I am including just the three main groups, not the smaller ones which would up it to just about the whole population of the planet.

Atheists are a pathetic, sad, angry minority.

And yes, I have read the disclaimer that this is politically correct territory ( the yahoo thought police arena).

I have been on here for quite a while and hardly ever have clicked the 'abuse' button.

My question still remains to be answered as long as the thought police will allow :

Does the atheist community here use this podium to SILENCE all religious thought?

YES I AM close minded, but am least smart enough to admit I dont know everything.

Study logic and philosophy (I have).

We ALL have a sphere of knowledge, our grasp of everything we know. OUTSIDE that sphere is everything we DONT know (the universe)

God could or could not exist outside that sphere, so we cant conclusively prove either way.

Atheists are in the same boat as any other religious group.

no proof, just belief.

The two thousand year old book people rant about, good and bad, has done way more good than bad in this world.

PLEASE site any atheist groups that have contributed billions of dollars to help the poor and needy around the world.

All, they try to do is destroy any non atheist thought.

The Atheist community is too arrogant to admit they dont know everything.

I had a christmas tree in my house most of my life.

I got rid of it not because it is a leftover of paganism, but that it reminded me of the family I lost (through divorce).

I pretty much dont celebrate the christmas holiday more out of pain than anything else.

I dont agree with paganism, and am a believer in Christianity, and would be willing to guess that more christians got burned at the stake than pagans for disputing the power of the established church.

my son played around with paganism, dont know if he is still in to it, but i havent disowned him and he is still my son.

Dont worry, Christians are in the same boat as you, too. we get blasted left right and center, many times at the cost of our own life for just believing what we do, even in todays world.
