Why did more complex economic and social systems develop during the Neolithic Revolution?

Agriculture became prevalent. Many changed from nomadic hunter-gatherer societies to agricultural societies. Agriculture/farming societies could support a much larger population, so villages, towns, and cities were established. Economic and social systems had to change and adapt from supporting small bands of nomadic people to supporting large, and growing, populations of people living in a permanent location.
