Is America part of any wars right now?

Against any nation or anything? If America attacked Syria, would that be described as war?

    We're not technically at war, but when you're fighting like we are in Afghanistan, it's war, I don't care what the definition is, though it's not against Afghanistan, only terrorists. Still, it's war in my book. A military intervention in Syria would be described as a military action at first. It would depend on how it continued to decide if it was war or not.
