How do you work this problem?

The cost, in dollars, of manufacturing x refrigerators is 9000 + 400x. The amount received when selling these x refrigerators is 500x dollars. What is the least number of refrigerators that must be manufactured and sold so that the amount received is at least equal to the manufacturing cost?

"amount received is at least equal to the manufacturing cost"

    means

    amount received ≥ manufacturing cost

    so

    500x ≥ 9000 + 400x

    Subtract 400x from both sides

    100x ≥ 9000

    Divide both sides by 100

    x ≥ 90, you need to make & sell at least 90
