Does this put the officiating whining to rest, finally?
The NFL announced that Joe Staley did not deserve a personal foul during the Matthews late hit on Kaepernick, and the 49ers should have had 1st and goal.
"After reviewing the play, Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino determined that Joe Staley should not have been penalized," was the statement given by an NFL spokesperson.
Can we finally move on and just admit the Packers were outplayed? It was a great game, and I think the Packers will win their division and we'll see them again in the playoffs... but they lost this one fair and square.

Whether you believe Staley deserved a penalty or not is irrelevant to the fact that he was flagged by a ref (who holds the right to do so) and therefor the true context of the game should have been properly conducted according to these penalties, etc. Dean Blandino isn't a ref in the middle of a game, his opinion after the ordeal is actually quite useless and seems more like NFL trying to sweep it under the rug.
The packers got the L, there is nothing to "admit"

You would have to be a delusional packer fan if you really think thats the reason the packers lost.

HEADLINGS: NFL Referee Bill Leavy Admits to Blown Call During Packers vs. 49ers
While it's impossible to know how the game would have changed had San Francisco kicked a field goal—not a guarantee with the way its offense was humming—it's safe to say things could have gone differently. The four-point swing would have put the 49ers down 28-27 on their final offensive possession rather than ahead 31-28.
HELLO SEATTLE - HE RETURNS
While Leavy will undoubtedly draw the ire of Packers fans for helping put Green Bay in that 0-1 hole, it's nowhere near his most notable blown call. The longtime NFL referee acknowledged in 2010 that he made major mistakes in the Pittsburgh Steelers' 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.
