Week 17 is here and I have been surprised to see that the 49ers are a pretty distant underdog to the surging Arizona Cardinals in that very tough NFC West division. Wait we're not finished yet. While the Seahawks are 7-1 through half way point and with the toughest portion of their schedule now behind them, things seem to be moving in Seattle’s favor with a lighter second-half schedule and key players returning to the field.

With the injury to Coleman, I just read on Twitter that the Seattle Seahawks have resigned Mike Robinson as Fullback reuniting the Robinson - Lynch duo from the past two seasons. This is a key signing as Robinson has been very dominate at fullback and an integral part of Lynch running through defenses and in protecting the pocket for Wilson too.

If Jake Locker is able to start for the Titans how will the 49ers fair? Oddsmakers are tilting towards the Titans to win if he can play up to his previous levels. Vegas has them a +4 point favorite with Locker and a -1 without.

With the 2013 season literally on the rock, Atlanta fans know the only way to salvage 2013 is to begin work on 2014. So, should the Atlanta Falcons do the right thing by Tony Gonzalez and trade him to a real Super Bowl team like Seattle for a first round pick in this years college draft? There are lots of analysts that are voicing just this and some many sports writers already feeling this should happen too. With the trade deadline coming on Oct 29, Atlanta has little time left to get that first round pick before the field of Superbowl favorites narrows and the trade value for Gonzalez begins to decline. If he should get hurt in the interim, forget that extra first or second round pick for your 2014 run.
