How do I "unlock" my iMac?
It isn't turned on very often but I do have stuff on it I'd like to get to. The last time I turned it on the lock icon in the upper left hand corner was in the "locked" position and I couldn't get to any programs. How do I unlock it? I tried using the system restore cd but couldn't get anywhere with that. Thanks for your help!

Take a picture with your phone and post at Flickr.com so we can see.
I've used two dozen Macs in 17 years and never saw a lock in the upper left corner of the screen. Center of the screen, yes, but never upper left.
