Obama says no boots on the ground...?

During his national adress. But didn't he also say he'd have the most transparent administration ever and "If you like your doctor..."

In short, doesn't this guy have a credibility problem?

Obama means his boots won't be on the ground, but he doesn't have a problem sending other boots to do his dirty work.

It is impossible to conduct an air war without people on the ground to "paint" the targets. So each target has a squad of military personnel to get in, identify and paint the target, so the planes and cruise missiles can find it. That is the absolute bare minimum required of "boots on the ground" for an air campaign.

But it is more than "no boots".

Its a dishonest statement for the reasons #1stated. But it's also a subversive statement for a commander in chief to make. To commit to putting no boots on the ground is a commitment to lose this war before it even started.

The conflict in Syria is none of our business. Stay out of it and let the puppets of Iran and Al Qaeda kill each other
