"I aim to improve my communication skills, team building techniques and awareness of services."
I'm not sure if the words are parallel.

They are parallel. Each of the three things is a noun, something that you aim to improve. You can check for parallelism by repeating the sentence for each element to see if they all sound similar:
I aim to improve my communication skills.
I aim to improve my team building techniques.
I aim to improve my awareness of services.
A non-parallel construction would be something like:
I aim to improve my communication skills, team building techniques and hope to give good service.
That third element sounds wrong because it's not in parallel.
