this is for sure getting to be very poor for yahoo not to fix the problem with editing and deleting mobile numbers its been way to long you should have it resolved or be able to help change the number if we call in to get help

As of Sept 2015, this is still an issue. Only way around it is to not put in your mobile number when creating your profile. If you ve already put your number in and no longer want it associated with your profile, put in a random number in the field. Yahoo Messenger will accept that.

Came across this 3 month old question and looks like the problem is still going on. I can't get rid of my old number either. I click on edit and it just takes me to mobile.yahoo.com with no option of deleting. It is frustrating. Uninstalling, clearing the cache, nothing worked.

Until now, no action taken by Yahoo to fix this issue. Very annoying and frustrating.

So after more than a month, there is no answer to how to handle this issue? Even if you said "We found the problem and it will be corrected in the next release." that would be better than just nothing.
