DEP Olympics, anyone?

Has anyone ever participated in this? If you aren't sure its where the DEP pool from AF/Army/USMC/Navy compete against each other in a 1.5 mile run, push ups, sit ups etc..

I'll be competing for the Navy in the run tomorrow. I haven't ran in over two months so I rode my bike to the track and kicked out a mile in 5:05.

Question is has anyone competed in these events? If so, how'd you do?

No I haven't but when I was in DEP, my USMC station was literally a block from an Army recruiting station. They would PT on wednesdays at 1600 hours. Every wednesday, a bunch of Poolees from my station would gather and run where the Army Poolees ran just to show them up. Lmfao. It was hilarious. Our recruiters actually encouraged us to make them look like sh*t physically. Our cadences were sung louder, we ran faster, and we ran longer. Good times.

Good luck USMC poolees run what are called IST we run 1.5 miles (way more during poolee functions that happen consistently every week ) as many sit ups in 2 minutes and as many pull ups which are way harder than push ups. we do those often. RAHHH
