What do you think about women who breast feed in public?
3 out of 50 states in America make it illegal to breast feed in public.
I don't think I would mind it, however I've never seen anyone doing it. Some guy on my facebook took a picture of a young mum breast feeding on the bus and posted "really lady, you have to do this in front of me -_- " so I was wondering YOUR opinions! :)
He is not my friend! He took my virginity but he's not my friend!

that added like 4 times and idk why lol
Also, that girl who told me to f*ck off seems so mature. She's probably 13 though.

Firstly; Tell your friend to remove that photo. I hardly think it's fair of him to take a picture of an unsuspecting mother and her child, post it on Facebook, then add a caption to it.
Secondly; I dislike it. I wish women wouldn't do it. I understand it's their choice, and I can look away, but I still think it is gross to openly breast feed/potentially flash people in public. Don't get me wrong - I've seen breasts, I am a girl, but it still bothers me to see another women's breasts. It's against the law for me to walk around topless or a man to walk around with his penis out - so it makes sense for it to be against the law to breast feed in public. The baby won't die from drinking infant formula - hell, with all the chemicals in the air people are questioning if breast milk is really all that safe anymore.

I think that they should have a right to. Breastfeeding is the healthiest way to feed a newborn baby, and if it is not legal, or even not accepted, that will discourage women from doing it. Breasts are over sexualized in our culture, in many countries it is perfectly acceptable for a woman to show her breasts in public (even when not breastfeeding). If someone doesn't like it they can not look. And about that guy on your facebook page, if he thinks it is so awful to do it in front of someone, why in the world did he take a picture to show everyone else on the internet? That just makes no sense.

"3 out of 50 states in America make it illegal to breast feed in public."
This is completely untrue. There is no state in which it is illegal to breastfeed in public. It's not specifically exempted in all states, but there is not a single state in the US that has laws against breastfeeding in public. In addition, it's protected under federal law, so even if the state doesn't have laws specifically addressing it, it's still protected.

It is a woman feeding her child and she has every right to do so. Thankfully in my state is legal to breastfeed in public. I don't have a baby yet, but when I do, I don't want to have to hide every time my baby needs to eat.
No one is forced to watch the mother. If it bothers them they can shut their eyes or look away. If the baby is latched on properly you probably won't see that much of her breast. The woman is minding her own business. The only reason anyone should have a problem with it is if she is like squirting them with her breast milk or something haha.

In my opinion Biology>Society's customs. Babies need to eat, their growing bodies don't care where they're at. Just because something is a norm in society, doesn't mean it's right. Think about the Chinese girls that had to crush their feet to be pretty. Mothers should keep one of those breast feeding covers with them, not to be courteous to others, but to cover up from perverts (trust me, they're watching!) I think the dude on the bus was immature.

People need to stop oversexualizing the female body. Breasts were made to feed babies, stop making a big f*cking deal about them goddamn. Guys can walk around without shirts, f*ck off.

Normal and natural process of feeding a child. If anyone finds it wrong or sexualised, that's their creepy problem.
