What's your coming out story?
I'm really interested to know how you came out, how different people reacted and how where you lived at the time affected this stage in your lives.
Thanks :)

Here is my long but coming out story-
When I came out I still lived at home. My parents had no clue I was gay but were getting suspicious. I was 16 about to be 17 at the time and they went through my phone and saw some text messages I sent to an older guy so I said I was gay. They wanted to kick me out because being gay was wrong to them. I was so scared of being homeless that I lied and said it was a joke and they believed it.
Flash forward a few years later I'm 21. I had an amazing boyfriend at that time who I loved. My birthday came around and my he went on facebook to say happy birthday to an amazing boyfriend and that he loves me so much. My mom went on facebook to wish me a happy birthday and she saw his post but never mentioned it until she told my dad.
My parents started their whole religious BS on me again so I said fine. I told them I have the worlds most amazing boyfriend and I don't care who knows that and that someday I may want to marry this man and that if I am gay that should not matter eventually they learned to accept me for who I am and eventually I came out to my sister.
Right now I am 24 years old and I am gay and single but most importantly I am happy and I have my parents and my sister who all support me for who I am :)

I was quite lucky I live in a shared house my two best friends a lesbian couple a gay lad upstairs. i told Lisa (one of the girls who lives upstairs I was bisexual over text !.) She was the first person I told I just sat there crying, she came down and gave me a hug, "You've got nothing to be ashamed of" my friends were fine with it, having lived a a straight gender man for like 20 years of my life my straight male friends were like, *slide away uncomfortable* "you don't fancy me do you? then I explain I don't like cis gender men that much ... explain what cis gender means. Yes they still rip the piss put in a nice way. my dad, said "I love you you're my son and nothing will change that."
Nobody that matters cares best result, but i know a lot of people aren't that lucky which is why I'm on this forum in the first place :D

I'm not gay, but a work colleague 'came out' some years ago with a single word.
We were working in a home for people with mental health problems, and watching the news on tv. The news that day announced the engagement of David Beckham and Posh Spice. As we watched I muttered "bast*rd!". My colleague said "Bit*h!"
I looked at him, he shrugged his shoulders... and that was that.
True story.

Well first told one of my friends (who later became my best friend) over Facebook (bad idea), my brother found the text I had sent and then told my mum and dad, it took my mum and dad 2 years to come to grips with it

Coming out story? Not to sure what you actually mean, I have never had a coming out story because I never had to come out.
