can a narrative be considered a biography?

for example

Jack sat by the seashore and the seagulls flew over the clouds and he thought it's just like home.

Would that style of writing be appropriate as a biography of Jack

A narrative doesn't have to be fictional at all. It can be about real persons as well. A narrative (or story) is simply any account of connected events, presented to a reader or listener in a sequence of written or spoken words. Your example would therefore be ok for a narrative biography, although it appears to be very detailed.

I think a biography has to be based off of a real person and narratives typically contain fictional characters. If they person in there story is a real person AND then story talks about their life, not an adventure, then I guess it could be considered some type of biography.
