What lessons are to be learned from Deucalion's Flood?

I have to answer a question in English class and the question was; What lessons are to be learned from Deucalion's Flood? I know what the story is, I'm not asking for a summary. Just some thoughts on what the moral of the story is. Thanks!

Deucalion and Pyrrha were the only survivors of a great flood. Deucalion's dad told his son of a flood and to build an arc. He did. He and his wife survived. It was their job to replenish the Earth. They threw stones over their shoulder and the stones became babies. The main lesson is: listen to your parents if you want to survive.
