Not a question, a message for Peggy?

Hi Peggy, you asked over the weekend how old Arthur and Morgana were, when they first met, and wasn't really given an answer, in fact the best answer sated Malory as Arthur's Creator, but Arthurian legend has been around since the early 11 hundreds, 300 years before Malory was born, let alone wrote his L'morte d'Arthur.

The problem is however two fold, firstly no ages are ever mentioned, beyond man, old man etc. and also, in those first work Morgan Le Fay is mentioned as nothing more than a fay, which healed Arthur upon his arrival at Avalon, it's not until the later works by Malory and Tennyson etc. that she becomes the evil fay, which tries to come between Arthur and Guinevere, but depending on which you go by he may have had his first encounter of her from the start, as his half sister, when Uther (his father, killed her father and married her mother) or in the earlier stories, not until after his last battle and his arrival at Avalon to be healed, by her and her sisters at the behest of Merlin.

I know it's still vague, but the stories being so old and added to by so many writers down the years, plus some of them claiming they were true stories gathered from actual witnesses (though obviously evidence wasn't chased as much then as now) and the dark ages being a time of not much historical evidence (as you know) it is all a bit vague and some parts to the story we may never know I'm afraid.

Hope you see this Peggy and hope it helps a bit, and sorry to those expecting a question.
