Art that will sell tips?

Question

I am a young artist from Scotland looking to make a set of art prints, i have always has a love for art and i specialize in screen printing. I had the idea of painting different famous Scottish people as we are a very proud nation, especially my city. Will that sort of thing sell? ( Please note i am young so not much experience in the selling field but i am dedicated to my artwork)

sorry couldn't resist
being tired i totally misread your post and thought you said you wanted to do famous Scots made up of the city silohettes that they come from which I thought was a fantastic idea.
Work in abit of the clan tartans and the tourist markets will go for them in a big way.
It comes down to where you sell (Japan), in this case I'd advise you to spread your net wide, keep your prices reasonable and make sure you factor in postage.

IDK but I've been trying to sell some art depicting Jesus on ebay with no luck at all.
