Have you ever played a Prank to Somebody?

I was an industrial mechanic in a yard that neighboured on several other industrial sites. This was back in the 70's. (umm, 1970's, that is) The yard had a VERY loud P/A system.

So, as I walk past the front desk, it girl there (very cute, from Freeport) has to go for a pee, and asked me to watch the phone for a minute or two. OK. No problem there.

So the phone rings. It is for one of the mechanics. His last name is Boisvert. So I put out over the P/A, "Call for M. Greenwood - Line one."

He didn't pick up on it. One of the other mechanics did, and I saw him heading for the phone out in the yard. So I forgot about it.

About five minutes later, here he comes. Red face, just furious. I was pretty young at the time, and did not realize just how sensitive the language issue was in Quebec. So I learned a good lesson.

Now, the problem has progressed to the point of supidity, and I would do it over again, a hundred times. Unfortunately, the issues became just too frustrating, and it was affecting my business, so I leftt Quebec. No interest there at all, any more. My business is doing very well, all over the world.

So it doesn't matter anymore, eh ?
