Am I changing my fingerprints?
I have a terrible habit where I bite my fingers (like bting your nails except I literally bite the skin off, yes it's nasty) and like eat it. I know it sounds disgusting! But I do, and while usually it doesn't get really bad, sometimes I bite it so much that the flesh you can see is red (like through 4 or 5 layers of skin).
It always heals of course, and I am trying to stop. But I'm wondering, if I truly bite off layers of my skin, when it heals does it come back the same fingerprint? I'm really scared that if my fingerprint is ever taken it will show up as like "not a real person" or something!

Not likely. It should grow back the way it was. And see a doctor about your OCD.

John Dillinger tried burning his fingerprints off with acid, and when they came back, he killed the 'doctor' who performed the procedure. To get rid of the prints, you have to destroy the skin to below the level of the sweat glands. If somehow you manage to do that, the scars are more recognizable than the original prints. Seek professional help, as this activity is not normal.
