How can you tell the difference between a scientific pendulm and a religious pendulum?

Hi, I want a pendulum I can use for scientific purposes. I DO NOT want a religious one with some sort of occult associated with it. (This would bother me for I have the Christian faith) I'm looking online to find one, and I'm not sure how to tell the difference if there Is one. Are any pendulums left for scientific purposes? Can I find one in a store? Some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

"There's a big Foucault pendulum out there. The bob must weigh five hundred pounds. My faith says that the amplitude of a free pendulum--how far it'll swing away from the vertical position--can never increase. It can only decrease. I'm willing to go out there, put the bob in front of my nose, let go, have it swing away and then back toward me. If my beliefs are in error, I'll get a five-hundred-pound pendulum smack in the face. Come on. You want to test my faith?"

"But would you be willing," she went on, "to step a foot closer to this same pendulum and pray to God to shorten the swing?"

A pendulum is a pendulum. Pendulum divinatation is not a religious activity, certain religious groups just happen to use it. Whether its used to divine or for scientific use there is no difference.

A pendulum is a weight on the end of a string. Whether it's scientific or religious depends on what you do with it.

It's not pre-occultized from the manufacturer.

  • According to your question, the difference is that the religious pendulum has one more "u".

One is spelled right and one isn't.
