Getting a ball at Fenway Park?
A few friends and I from Australia will be going around the US next summer (US season). We will be going to watch a 2 baseball games at Fenway Park and we wanted to know is Dugout Box 72_79 in the first row the best place to get a ball? We were thinking here because of lots of foul balls and maybe we can you use our Australian accent to charm the ball boy/girl to giving as a ball or two. If this is not the best place where is?

dugout box number 72 or 79 those are left field and no where near the red sox dugout closer to the away team dugout right next to the green monster. Great spot for catching a ball during the game. Here is the map and you might way dugout boxes in the 20's thats where the red sox dugout is.

Unfortunatly I have sat there before and they only give balls to kids not adults. You can try to catch one but thats about the most luck you will get.
I tried getting one for my nephew a few years back and the ball boy would not give me it but he kept giving to kids which I think is pretty fair.
I have been to fenway for many games and its like my second home. You can try to get there wicked early. Best bet is to buy a red sox nation package because if you bring the Red Sox nation card with you you can get into the park early. Also if you take the last tour of the park right before a home game you can see the players on the field.
Another great tip get to the park wicked early like 5hrs before the game and go down yawkey way and take a left on the first side street you come to and wait around right there because you get to see the players driving in and sometimes they sign stuff if they are in a good mood. Also if a pitcher is pitching that day he isn't allowed to sign anything.
You are going to LOVE LOVE fenway and have a blast. I will say this though bring lots of money because it can be wicked expensive. If you sign up for red sox nation though you get 10% any store purchases in their team store.

They might, but I am not sure I have never been to Fenway Park in person, since I don't live in the area or have ever traveled to Boston through I will think it would be a great place for a baseball game. I have been to baseball games before, but I have never had good luck in having a baseball used in a game. The last time I have been to a MLB game was 2012, but it was a out of my area game, as I live close to Chicago so for me the two closets teams are the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, and I have never been to one of their games for both teams in quite a good seasons, last time I went to a game even for both was in the 2009 season. I think it best of good luck for the ball to come your way, and not the bad luck of being hit by a baseball which I am sure you don't want anyways. And will if you try your charm by using your Australian accent will work on the ball boy or girl for a ball to be tossed to you. I don't know who they use for it, but I would have to imagine it would be kids, but I wouldn't think that they would have the same ones for every game. A baseball can be hit generally all over a baseball stadium, where a foul ball might come to your section, and another foul ball can go to the upper deck behind home plate. So I don't want you to built up hopes that a foul ball will come your way, there is after all the gift shop but I think you are more interested in a ball that was used in the game.

For the price you will pay for tickets and parking at Fenway, they should give you a bucket of balls. But have fun. There are better ways to spend a grand.

If you get one check it for fleas. The best place to see a game is either Yankee Stadium or Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia. Fenway is old and dirty. Don't be shocked as to the price of a ticket in Fenway. The place is run by crooks.

if your charming accent doesn't work, the guaranteed place to get a ball is at the Gift Shop.
