I dont understand this question about J.D. Salinger?
So I am supposed to read this article about J.D. Salinger and it asked "What values did Salinger have as a writer?"
I dont get that question. Does it mean his characteristics or does it mean what made his writing unique?

I think it asks what he tried to include in his own work or what he valued in writing. What did he strive to include in his writing, what did he value in other people's writing and hope to include in his own? It's kind of a mixture of both. I could be wrong, but that's what I think it's asking.
