Explain my Geometry Homework, Please.?

The problem is as follows:

The supplement of the complement of an angle is 12 degrees less than the difference of the supplement and the angle. Find the supplement of the complement.

I've tried to figure out what it's saying, but it only makes my head hurt. I can't find any examples in my textbook, either.

Help would be appreciated!

    Let the angle be A. The complement C=90-A.

    The supplement of the complement is Sc=180-C= 90+A

    The difference between the supplement of A and A is

    D=(180-A)-A= 180-2A

    Since Sc=D-12, 90+A=180-2A-12

    Which gives 3A=78, and A=26 degrees.

    The supplement of 26 deg is 154 deg.

    Subtracting 26 from 154 give 128

    Further subtracting 12 gives 116 degrees

    The complement of 26 deg is 64 deg

    The supplement of the complement is 116 degrees
