Help me find a nickname for my name Jamison?
My first name is Jamison, which is traditionally a masculine surname-name (I'm a female) relating to the name James. I've hated the nick name Jamie for quite some time, and I was thinking of the other nickname options I have. It occurred to me because my name is a variant of James, I could possibly use the nickname Jimmy. What would you think of a girl called Jimmy? Interested or confused? I'm leaving for college after this year away from my hometown, so if I'm going to change up, now would be the ideal time. I wouldn't intend on being called a nickname exclusively, but probably more like both Jamison and a nickname at the same time.
So essentially, is Jimmy a bad idea? And what are some other nicknames could I use that are logical? Things like Sunny.

How about Mace/Mase? I know its a bit off, but it kind of sounds like it could derive from Jamison.

First of all, I think Jimmy would be pretty awesome, as the trend lately is for girls to have "guy" names/nicknames. Here are some more feminine ideas if you change your mind:

Amy
Mimi
Sunny
Jane
Janie

Good luck! :)

Jimmie is more of a male name... but Jamie is actually not a bad name. You want a nickname that represents you.

Jamie I love for a girl
That is also a nickname for James, so Jameson would work

Missy
Ami (amy)
I feel like with a more masculine name you should have a feminine nickname to counter balance that.

I think Jimmy is a bit odd for a girl, but that's just me.
Maybe Missy/Missie?
Jam?
Jay?
