why is catholic religion full of lies?

For similar reasons that Protestantism is full of lies.

1. I'm not sure why you think that Catholics are okay with murder, child molestation, lying and cheating. All are completely against Catholic teaching and considered grave sins that would separate a person from God. We would welcome a murderer, pedophile, liar or cheater who wants help repenting and getting right with God - we would show them the same Mercy that Jesus showed us all on the Cross - but we would never be okay with them continuing to commit these terrible sins.

2. Catholics completely agree that God will NOT share His glory with another (Isaiah 42:8).

3. Catholics DO NOT bow TO any statues or images. We bow to God NEAR statues and images. Big difference. And one that I have explained to you before, but you choose to ignore what is true and repeat lies about Catholics. How is that serving Christ - to tell lies about other Christians?

4. Catholics agree that Jesus is the only mediator between God and men, and that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

5. The Catholic Church is NOT "infested with idols, crucifixes and superstitions." All are strictly against Catholic teaching.

6. There is nothing in the Bible that says we can't pray to Mary and ask her to pray with us and for us.

7. Jesus is the King of Kings, and He sits over the Kingdom of Heaven. Mary is His mother. That makes her the "queen mum" of heaven, or Queen of Heaven. Aren't you from Canada? You should know how this works. It's the same as any other monarchy.

8. Mary is indeed the mother of the church - Jesus gave her to us as such in John 19:25-27.

9. When you say, "Mary was just a godly woman chosen by God the Father to be the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, God incarnate," it shows that you really don't understand Mary's sacrifice in being willing to bear the Christ Child.

10. I doubt you are correct in saying that, "In heaven, Mary is no more special than any other godly woman who fears and loves God," because only Mary is the mother of Jesus, and He has a special love for her as any good Son has a special love for His mother among all other women.

11. "It is wicked to teach that Mary was anything more than a godly woman." Catholics don't say she is more than a godly woman. We don't think she's a goddess, you silly boy!

12. Catholics agree that if it were not for God's merciful grace, we would all be hopelessly bound for hell damnation, and we know that includes Mary. The only reason she was called "full of grace" by the angel in Luke 1:28 is because Jesus saved her from sin.

13. The teaching that Mary was born SAVED from original sin came straight from the Holy Spirit and was confirmed in a miraculous way. Does it seem absurd to you? So do all miracles! So does Jesus walking on water! So does Moses parting the Red Sea! Miracles are always absurd. If they were logical, they wouldn't be miracles.

14. The bible does not say that Mary was born with a sinful nature just like any other human being - it says she had received a permanent indwelling of the Fullness of Grace that could not be removed (Luke 1:28 - read it in Greek and note the conjugation).

15. The word "original" is not even found in the Bible, but neither is the word "Bible" so that's meaningless!

16. Catholicism does indeed say that many of our doctrines did NOT originate from the Bible, but from the church itself, because that's how Jesus set things up. He left us with a CHURCH, not a book. The Bible came later. All authority on earth belongs to the Church per Jesus' wishes.

17. You misinterpret Matthew 23 - Jesus was not banning the use of any word, and we can tell it's okay for priests to be call Father because the apostles were called Father in other NT books: 1 Cor 4:15, 1 Thes 2:10-11, Philip 2:22, etc.

18. The pope consistently teaches people to love and follow Jesus and to love people as ourselves. That's Jesus' message - how you can claim he is a "false prophet of satan" is beyond reason.

Hi bro, I know its awful to find out many untruths. But its not something you should let cause you distress. Our words will always be divided. If you find contradicting statements in the Bible it's mainly because you've taken the literal meaning instead of the spiritual one. The truth of God is beyond our words. Do as the Christian Gnostics do, learn astral travel, go experience truth for yourself without using words. If this is too difficult, I would refer you to this book "Master Keys to Spiritual Freedom" by Kim Michaels, It's a great read and a great remedy for religious distress. The early Christians were Gnostics, Mystics. They posed as a threat to the rising catholic church. So of course they were wiped out, they don't live by the sword.

It is the religion that calls priests "Father" and Jesus said to call no man your father in Matthew. They pardon you of sin, and Bible says only the Savior can forgive sin. Paul! I agree entirely as the catholic church has no scriptural right to even exist as a church. The Lord Jesus founded the first church on Himself and not on Peter. "The Rock" Jesus was referring to when Jesus was talking to Peter was, in fact, Himself and not Peter. We know this as the Lord has many names and one of those names is "The Rock." Just one Scripture that comes to mind is found in 1 Corinthians 10:4 "And did all drink the same Spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." Note here to that the word "Rock" is capitalised on both times it is used in this verse which further denotes that Christ is the "Rock." The very foundation on which the Catholic church is built is baseless and the reason it is so corrupt is because the Lord's Spirit is not in the church. I see from most of the answers you have received that many are ignorant of what the Word of God has to tell us about false teachers and false doctrines. Virtually none of the doctrines of the Catholic church can be supported any where by Scripture and in most cases, totally contravenes the Word of God. As I read Revelation 17:1-9 it seems clear to me that it is in direct reference to the Catholic church as it is an abomination before the Lord. Scripture carries a clear warning in Galatians 1:7-9 "Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." It is clear from these verses that the Lord's curse is on the Catholic church. There are numerous fallacies in the teachings of the Catholic church as designed by Satan to mislead the masses. BTW, I am a born again Christian and a Bible teacher. the gospel message hasn't changed in over two thousand years but the Catholic church as turned it into a total lie. "Yea, let God be true and every man a liar." (Romans 3:4) Whilst I was overseas in the Philippines, I was teaching Bible and many of my students were ex catholics. Catholicism became a pack of lies. The Bible actually confirms it begin as a place of truth, until infiltrators decided to put their sin into it. This is a reason Protestant reformers like John Calvin left the church.

You are in error here. "We" are not commanded in this context. Israel was commanded in this context. "We" are not a party to the old covenant law.

Am I therefore advocating we can bow down to idols? No. The problem here is one of motivation. Israel of old was prone to fall into idolatry. They needed a law to tell them not to do this, yet they did it anyway. So the law condemns them for their transgression. I do not bow to idols, not because of a written law, but because I understand the idol is nothing. You however are making a proverbial mountain out of a mole hill. Naaman the Syrian came to understand idols were nothing, but due to his position in relation to his king, he had to bow to a false god while with his king in a pagan temple. The prophet of God did not condemn him for this. He was simply told to go in peace. Jesus pointed out there were many lepers in Israel at that time, yet only Naaman was healed. Yet, he bowed before an idol.

Catholics are ignorant regarding these things. Instead of seeking to educate them, you prefer to condemn them for their ignorance. What then of your own ignorance?

You have to take what Jesus said and meant in context, where we call no man "father" in the sense of being God. Or are you now going to claim Paul was a Catholic, and we should never refer to Abraham as a "father" even though Scripture calls him the father of the faithful?

Deut. 5:8 - God's commandment "thou shall not make a graven image" is entirely connected to the worship of false gods. God does not prohibit images to be used in worship, but He prohibits the images themselves to be worshiped.

Exodus 25:18-22; 26:1,31 - for example, God commands the making of the image of a golden cherubim. This heavenly image, of course, is not worshiped by the Israelites. Instead, the image disposes their minds to the supernatural and draws them to God.

Num. 21:8-9 - God also commands the making of the bronze serpent. The image of the bronze serpent is not an idol to be worshiped, but an article that lifts the mind to the supernatural.

I Kings 6:23-36; 7:27-39; 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple contains statues of cherubim and images of cherubim, oxen and lions. God did not condemn these images that were used in worship.

2 Kings 18:4 - it was only when the people began to worship the statue did they incur God's wrath, and the king destroyed it. The command prohibiting the use of graven images deals exclusively with the false worship of those images.

1 Chron. 28:18-19 - David gives Solomon the plan for the altar made of refined gold with a golden cherubim images. These images were used in the Jews' most solemn place of worship.

2 Chron. 3:7-14 - the house was lined with gold with elaborate cherubim carved in wood and overlaid with gold.

Ezek. 41:15 - Ezekiel describes graven images in the temple consisting of carved likenesses of cherubim. These are similar to the images of the angels and saints in many Catholic churches.

As far as Mary being born without sin, the early Christian church fathers also believed this, but since you don't read much you couldn't have known.

You really don't know your early Christian history and you don't know your bible history as well.

The Catholic Church was the original church of Christ. The reason most pastors don't recommend that their church members read the early Christian writings is that they know the early Christians were all Catholic Christians.
