Someone said it on another question today. If there was a style that was better than all the others we old timers in the martial arts would all be studying that style. In the last few months I've had the opportunity to meet several of the regulars from here. They all are good martial artists and yet they all study different styles.
Hardest form, that is determined by the person not the style. That said Kyokushin had a mindset and training attitude that is often harder than other schools. but that again is the people and how they train as well as their attitude. you could train with the same attitude that is common to Kyokushin with any style of Karate or other martial art.

I'm honored that someone mentioned Uechi-Ryu. We have a reputation for being tough and our style being effective. With that said though, there are many good styles. Of course there are tons that are junk.
As much as I'd like to say that Uechi-Ryu is the best, I have to say the best style is the one that gets the job done. As we say over and over, it's how you use what you learn, not the style.
If you want to be tough, then train hard, and condition well

Most effective at what?
I prefer Kyokushin as I find it the most fulfilling by far with the heavy contact fighting while the rules help prevent any dangerous injuries.

That in it's entirety is up to the instructor.
I have seen good and not-so-good instruction in all the arts you mention here.
And they are all very effective with proper instruction.
For me, Shotokan if the most effective, because I am acquainted with it better. My friend Gary teaches goju-ryu. He, and it are very effective.
Yes pugpaws2, that was me that posted that. Here is the link;
