What's the difference between a Ural and a Dneper Ural BMW?

Is a Dneper with the BMW copy engine better than a standard Ural bike? I'm looking to get a sidecar bike and these bikes seem to be some of the most reasonable to buy. Thanks for sharing any knowledge you have about this bike or anything about sidecars.

They are both antiques that are just continued to be made, like Harleys and Royal Enfields. You would be so much better off to buy a modern bike. Lighter weight, less vibration, higher horsepower, more agility, and probably a lot less money.

They're both copies of BMWs made in communist countries. Both are old technology and require constant attention to keep on the road. That being said, the Urals have been slowly improving their technology and would be my choice of the two. That make a great sidecar outfit, but it's not for beginners or non-mechanics.

Actually, I think they're pretty much the same. The different brand names are used in different countries to avoid stepping on someone else's copyrighted brand name.
