Where can I get camouflage wool in the uk?
Im looking for camo effect wool or acrylic yarn to make a hat and mittens for my son, anyone know where I can find some?

technique for making the wool camo is called painting!
put the colors of dye in squirt bottles like are used for ketchup, rinse the wool in vinegar water half n half, and lay it out on plastic table cloth. squirt the patches of color as desired and roll up the yarn in the tablecloth and allow it to marinade for about 8 hours. Unroll and rinse, hang to dry.
I am a spinner and make my own wool yarns, Usually I space dye or paint the roving before spinning it to yarn, but yarns can be space dyed or painted as well.
Find a spinning or weaving group near you for help if I am not that clear. We are not an extinct craft group!

If you knit with a variegated yarn like Paintbox, depending on the width of the item you're making you will probably get stripes. I think the painting idea would work better,
