What's wrong with hitting back?

My older brother is a bully, especially to me. For some reason my parents never say anything about it.

He likes to hit me for no reason. Whenever I'm doing homework, he would take my paper, rip it in half, and throw it in the trash can, forcing me to start over.

Today, he decided he wanted to hit me for no reason. When I asked why he always does this, he replied with "Because I can. What are you gonna do about it?"

I got fed up with his bullshit that I hit back. I punched and kicked him several times. After my parents caught me beating the crap out of my brother, they yelled at me and scolded that it's not okay to hit my big brother.

OH, BUT IT'S TOTALLY OKAY FOR HIM TO HIT ME?! What's wrong with me hitting me. It's called consequences. How am I the one in the wrong? My mom slapped when I said that I'm gonna keep doing the same thing every time my brother bothers me. What's wrong with me standing up for myself. You can't stand up to bullies by being diplomatic, even if they're your siblings.

I don't know what I did wrong? It is so bad that I hit back? To me, he deserved getting his *** kicked, even if it wasn't by me.

    it happens in all families. You are probably to close in age. Help your brother gets some friends.

    If he has a friend, he won't bother you.

    I would go and have a talk with your father and mother.

    If they don't do something, call social services. They will do

    something. Complain. It is called bullying.

    Yes, I would call the police. It really IS that serious. My oldest brother was the same until I kicked him so hard in the balls he went to the hospital.

    Tell your mom if she won't interfere in the abuse you're experiencing, the cops will.
