Do you support Obamacare?

If you do why? Also what are your views on Barack Obama as President? I'm just wondering

It is yet another entitlement program that will destroy and bankrupt the nation. Its unconstitutional because It forces me to pay for a product. Which takes away my human rights. Remember life, liberty, property, persuit of happiness. Well forcing me to pay for something I do not want or need takes away my liberty. I think the whole bill should be thrown out.

And compared to the other 43 presidents, Obama is the Caligula of America.

It is not a matter of support or not, it is a law now. And somehow it seems people have forgotten that.

The "fight" that is going on in congress is laughable.

The "defunding" they are talking about is only about 20% of the bill.

So even if they do "defund" they are only doing it for 20% of it.

It will still go into effect the 1st of Jan. Like it or not.

The only thing defunding would do is make it more difficult for the people that have to get it, NOT the law itself. Because it will still be in place.

And no, I do not like how Obama is doing his job as president.

But that is for real reasons.

Not some BS spewed by the far right.

He is just a horrible president that really has no backbone.

    So there is my answer.

Like it or not, whatever the house does, Obamacare is law. Only 20% would be defunded (if they can even manage that), no matter how much people hate it.

The best thing we need to do is try to fix it as time goes on. Just like any other law that has ever been put into place.

It is amazing how much stupid info is out there.

Yes, I am a strong supporter of the provisions in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148) and its supplemental Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (P.L.111-152), also known as Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act.

After Nixon privatized HMOs, greed in the health care industry spread like a California wildfire and only grew worse during the Alzheimered Reagan days when the nation's 1300 for-profit greed-driven insurance companies realized they could collect premiums and then just drop the customers if they became ill or injured or else the insurers could deny coverage of particular illnesses by claiming "pre-existing conditions." Then Reagan fired PATCO (air traffic controllers union), signaling to greedy-gut CEOs they had the green light to get rid of full-time workers with benefits in order to "expand profit margins" and we became a nation where millions of Americans had no medical coverage. Something had to be done to break the cycle of BOTTOMLESS-PIT GREED, but Hillary Clinton's valiant effort failed due to the LOBBYISTS with mighty deep pockets from the multi-$TRILLION$-dollar insurance industry sided with corporate-colluding rightwing Republicans to KILL THE BILL.

The Obama team was smart to jump into the fray immediately, because taking "candy" away from greedy-gut fat-cat spoiled-brat "babies" is never an easy task, and I was truly proud of the Democrats on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009 when the legislation passed despite every effort the lobbyist-bribed corporate-colluding anti-black-President-Obama rightwing Republicans made to sabotage the effort.

For the people-serving, industry-regulating details of Obamacare, go to healthcare.gov.

    Our nation-saving, economy-expanding, Great-Recession-reversing, jobs-creating, deficit-halving, bin-Laden-getting, Syrian-disarmament-deal-brokering, insurers-reforming, banksters-and-Wall-Street regulating, equal-marriage-rights-facilitating, VA-medical-facilities-funding, Iraq-war-ending, federal-spending-slashing, international-image-healing, military-supporting, highly intelligent, and incredibly patient President Obama has proven to be an absolute GODSEND for this Republican-damaged nation.

No. Because it was rammed through entirely along party lines. To undertake such a massive project as healthcare reform, it needs to be done with support from both sides, in a concentrated and dedicated effort. But because it was done purely along political lines, we're still talking about it three years after it passed, and we'll still be talking about it three years from now.

I thought Obama looked very promising as a candidate in 2008, and I gave him almost two years to learn on the job and let some of his policies take effect. But I soon discovered he was a very divisive man. I don't know any other President in history who so routinely calls political opponents such things as "hostage takers". Then he wonders why Republicans won't compromise with him. He had such a good opportunity to unite people and be a leader, but as soon as he ran into some political opposition, he became divisive, willing to throw anyone and everyone under the bus to score political points.

Absolutely not because it is designed to further bankrupt the country. There will be massive increases for everyone once Obamacare is fully implemented. I think Obama is going to go down in history as the most corrupt dictator this country has ever known. I won't even get into the irreparable damage that he has caused for his own race. Here's an article from Forbes regarding what a typical family of four can expect with Obamacare: http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/09/...

Obamacare would save some and screw others. It all depends on who you're asking about it. It would screw those who currently are in a good place with their healthcare; i.e. the suits who run this country. Therefore, I don't think it'll last much longer.

No, I don't support government telling me what insurance I have to have. Obama, my views; I'd definately vote for Obama for "Dog Catcher."

    Source(s): Just my opinion.

It will be extremely detrimental to our economy (and society as a whole). Socialized medicine doesn't work well for ANY country that has it now. Many of those that can afford are currently coming here for treatment.

The website might help with understanding it a little more.

    Hope that helps!

No, I don't support Obamacare. It will raise our HC costs, lower our quality of care and hurt the economy by lost jobs. Oh and Obama sucks.

In general, I support Obamacare. Though I really think we should abolish the insurance industry and move towards a single payer system, this is a step in that direction.
