Science give knowledge to the people about the various incidents happening in this world. Science is not the reason for different incidents. But the development of science and the technology is now becoming the reason for the global warming, acid rain etc. phenomena. Most of the phenomena in this world has no solution from the science because it can only be handled by number of people in this world. Because of the high population pollution can't be controlled easily.

Using your cause and effect logic, can we also say that people who believe in any religion are thereby responsible for the most heinous acts of violence done under the influence of religious fundamentalism addiction....

Makes as much sense as your blind accusation that a tool of analysis is culpable for any and all disastrous outcomes done under the auspices of science.
