Swimming with tampon in?

i just started my period today going on holiday tomorrow abd very nervous and nit sure if its safe to swim. i have read saying its okay but still not sure. i am 21 and can be very heavy. thanks in advance

    Yes it is fine, I do it all the time :) When using tampons you can kind of forget you're even on your period haha, well for 8 hours or until it feels full. Note - it will fill up faster as the water you are swimming in will be absorbed into it a little so maybe change more often like every 4-6 hours? don't worry about it and have a good holiday :)

    I love the fact that when I'm on my cycle I can still swim, because of tampons. I change mine every time I go to the bathroom. One time I was swimming and got out to sit by the pool, well after I had dried off I stood up, and there was a huge red spot on my towel. How embarrassing...Never the less I change the tampon quit often when I swim. No worries. Good luck.

    Yes its safe :) Just change it every few hours if you go to the washroom or something. Sorry if seems pathetic that a guy is answering a tampon question lol!! Anyway hope that helped :) Please check out my blog if you don't mind. Much appreciated.
