Swimming with tampon in?

i just started my period today going on holiday tomorrow abd very nervous and nit sure if its safe to swim. i have read saying its okay but still not sure. i am 21 and can be very heavy. thanks in advance

    It works fine to swim with a tampon in I've done it many times.

    Of course it is - just be sure to wear a tampon that is high enough in absorbency for your period. Have a nice holiday.

    Best adviced not to. I had the same problem and just sunbathed all day xD
