Yes of course if they can and they get a decent wage in return for there labour what this sick millionaires party are doing is classic divide and rule creating a fiction that all on welfare are lazy liars or there wish to help. BS! there want to cut welfare to the bone well or sick using ATOS so those who are genuine disabled still get hammered the rest get to be state servants on peanuts or at the mercy of corporations with little employment rights. The BBC are scared of upsetting the tory vermin so we have a media silence on protests time the BBC were confronted maybe a nationwide refusal to pay there handout.

What for a agency that at every turn looks for ways to screw you, and they do, that's about all that's open now to the working class's who are unemployed.

And what if you've so desperate for a job your forced to take one with a zero hours contract, can't work much then can you.

Many voters may agree with this forced work policy, but in their minds eye all they're see is a Tory Toff being a Tory Toff, not a good idea.

So the government will still be making the taxpayer pay for street cleaners in the form of council tax , then make cuts the street cleaners become unemployed

then give the job to someone on benefits to do it for free

Absolutely spliffing idea where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer , same old Tory scum

Well done Lord Snooty! Free labour for your Tory pals.

A huge protest in Manchester today, I gather that the BBC (funding from the US State Dept. since the Tories got in) have been instructed not to cover it.

We have been invaded by a foreign power merely by having this un-elected government lolling about opposite the opposition benches.

No wonder they want the UK to leave the ECHR, such actions violate Human Rights Laws that are there to protect us from being enslaved.

They're not working class if they don't work. They're underclass, welfare dependent, call it what you want. But not working class.

You think that every single person on the dole really wants to get off benefits, do you?

And that everyone on the sick is really incapable of any kind of work?

Or that honest tax payers would eva in a million years want to be governed by someone as ridiculously naive as you?

Got any other weird theories to amuse us with? England for the next World Cup??

Get everyone to dig a massive hole in the ground, grooving on down from London to Birmingham.

Then lay down some far out tracks, put a choo-choo train in it and call it HS2.

    Fares please!

    Trebles all round

as the Nazis stated on the gates of Auschwitz Arbeit macht frei (work makes you free)

and its true so well done iain Duncan smith

he's a twit he lived when unemployed in his millionaire father in law's flat for free no wonder he could manage on 53 quid.

not everybody marries the daughter of the super rich

he's clueless to the real world

  • We have a problem in that we are a democracy and that the people don't want to pay taxes. Whoever promises the lowest taxes gets elected. The current debate is not about whether people should work, but whether the taxpayer should provide for those who don't or can't.

We've made society too complicated. There's work that needs to be done, but we pay people not to do it. That leaves a section of society who expect to be given "a job" but are content to sit back and draw their benefits if one doesn't fall into their laps. Our education, benefits and work systems do not prepare people to live by their wits.

I feel people asked to work should get at least NMW.. put the lazy buggers to work sure, but pay them.. I think it's wrong to expect people to work with out a decent return.. I just think it's amoral..
