Is it best to do nothing with your life since any your actions could turn into a disaster?

Lets say a person finds a cure for cancer. I can see a variety of ways in which this discovery could lead to other problems such as overpopulation. Which can lead to more wars over resources, destruction of the environment and even the spread of other disease more deadly than cancer. Any of our actions has the potential to backfire and create a disaster. Is doing nothing the best thing one can do with their life.

Thanks.

doing nothing is an action too. every action or inaction has consequences. times when we should have stood up and said something but choose not to and times when we should have kept our mouths shut. both actions could result in unsavory results but regret is more often made up of things we wish we had done or known but didn't.

no. I think there will be something worse than cancer will develop...

since people will smoke more and stay out in the sun a long time...

Just like there are some cure for STD's... it developed into HIV/AIDS

because people foolishly have sex carelessly.
