ideas for statistics related to environment?

I have to prepare a project for math. It does not have to be statistics....

I want to do something related to environment. Statistics seems very related. Maybe probability as well...

But my question is thatcan you give me the link to some raw statistics about environmentak polution or anything...about environment? Internet is full of them abd I don't know which to use. I am lost...

Even if you give me a problem to work on it is great! Like should i work on "co2 emittions for different countries in future" or "the effect of food transportation on co2 emittions" or ...

    Google "diversity indices". There are three that are in general use. Brillouin, Shannon, and Simpson. There is enough literature on them to make as long a paper as you want and the math is complicated enough to keep a math teacher happy.
