How are points scored in MLS?
I don't mean goals in the game, that's obvious, I mean points for the standings. What's a win worth? Three points, right? A tie? Do you get any points for goals scored?

Soccer can end in wins, ties or a loss.
A win gets you three points.
A tie gets you one point.
And a loss gets you no points. (No points are ever deducted, only accumulated)
Goals don't give you points. Just the scoreline.
(In further details, goals CAN count if two teams are tied. They just settle on goal differences.)

It's the same for all leagues.
Win = 3 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = no points
