The government "leaders" today are poor statesmen.
30 years ago, we still had two major political parties in force, yet they acted maturely on behalf of the people they serve.
When you have people like Reid, Pelosi, and Obama not enough positioning themselves as people pretending to want to have a negotiation - it's bad.
At least the Democrats of the Past acted like Adults.
(and yes, there are some irresponsible people in the other party as well - they just don't have the profile that "Leadership" has).

I think the whole bunch of those idiots in Washington need to go. Republicans and Democrats alike! Get rid of them all from those in the White House to those in the Senate and House. They are ALL in on destroying our country! It is time that they all realize that they are only public servants who are employed by the people! The whole idea is to distract the public by bickering among themselves long enough to wreck our economy. We should not take sides and hold them ALL accountable! It is not hard to pull the wool over the eyes of the dumbed down brain dead public these days!

YOu can include anyone in the White house, Senate. House of rep's as far as I'm concerned.
Dumbest government in American history. The right hand doesn't even know it HAS a left hand, much less what it should be doing.

They need to get rid of members of the hated tea Party who are the cause of this government shutdown right now.

No I think the 80 tea party members of the "suicide caucus" should go. They are causing a government shutdown for no reason other than they can.
