Could WWE be in trouble if this TNA deal goes through?

It was recently announced that Viacom, the 3rd largest multimedia conglomerate in the US, and owner of Spike TV, is showing interest in purchasing either a majority share or full share in the company, due to Dixie Carter and her dad wanting to sell the company because Dixie doesnt have the experience to run or operate a company, and Spike TV not wanting WWE to buy it out, and close another Promotion's doors. Does this pose a threat WWE's success, due to Viacom having a lot more money than WWE, Similar to the 90's when Time Warner, the second largest multimedia conglomerate bought WCW, and almost ended WWE's existence.

Viacom would made an impact, but WWE has been 50 years more than TNA. So I don't see WWE worrying it about it. Is true, Viacom has way more money than WWE, but so does Panda Energy. That doesn't mean that Viacom won't do the same that Panda Energy did

No, and I'll tell you why, because do you seriouly think Viacom is going into the wrestling business, could they buy the majority share of TNA, hell yeah they could, but what is Viacom, they run TV networks, cable channels, they own CBS, Nick, MTV, Spike TV, among other networks, this would just be another business venture for them! It would be a side project to them if anything and something that they would just be producing for Spike, the minute it starts losing them money they would sell it or drop it all together!

WWE on the other hand, it's main source of revenue is it's wrestling programs like Raw, Smackdown, and all the other PPVs we see air every month! Most of it's revenue comes from wrestling merchandise, wrestling shows, live events, there side projects like WWE films aren't profitable, most never make a dime, because it isn't there primary source of revenue, it is a side project to WWE, if Viacom own TNA, it would be like that, it would be a side project, they aren't going to try and put WWE out of business, they aren't going to get into the wrestling business, they are in the entertainment business, as long as the show does well for them, they would keep it going, but they aren't going to invest anymore in Impact than they do one of their top sitcoms, the deal wouldn't effect WWE at all, and it would just keep TNA alive a bit longer if there is any truth to this rumor of the Carters wanting to get out of the wrestling business!

nope. do you know why WWE is #1.....cause Mr. McMahon does not sleep and will do whatever it takes to be on top. WCW went out of business because there was too much "red tape". They had to go through standards and practices, 20 different managers or executives, then pray that the rewrites don't ruin the original idea.

Fortunately Yes because it can permanently affect the WWE for a very long time.

I love TNA but it will always come second to WWE. WWE is too far ahead of TNA in terms of popularity, talent and image to have any problem with TNA.
