How can I control my anxiety in school?

Hi guys! The last time I was in my English class I started feeling really sick and due to suffering from anxiety and panic attacks I instantly went into panic mode. Honestly kt was really horrible. I was really warm, but shivery, I felt like I was either gonna be sick or bring everything up some other way if you get me haha. I tried my breathing exercises and drank water but I couldn't relax very well.

I decided to ask if I could go home ill but now I have a slight problem. Everytime I think of going to English I go straight back into panic mode. This has led me to have missed 3 lessons since the first episode and that's ridiculous!! :/

What should I do? & if all fails and I do have another episode in class what in-the-moment tips have you got?

Thanks guys! :) xxx

I suffered severely from anxiety and depression for more than 30 years. It got worse during high school, and even worse later on, as if it were deliberately trying to make my life as miserable as possible. This is my story of great emotional pain, long years of isolation, misery and utter hopelessness and how I gradually found my way out of this dismal tunnel of despair and into the light of wisdom, joy and great relief.

Along with all the problems one usually gets when growing up, the symptoms of panic disorder and not at first knowing what they were, devastated my days at school and ruined my concentration with schoolwork. I would come home completely exhausted, frustrated and unable to concentrate on anything, especially homework. I had a very limited social life and no girlfriends.

I suffered for what seemed like an eternity from social anxiety, loneliness, severe acne, mysterious weight loss, and crippling depression. I had an extreme dislike of most kinds of team sports and had a really hard time trying to fit in anywhere. From grade school to high school, I suffered much hazing from others and much rejection and "unrequited love" from members of the opposite sex I felt attracted to, resulting in a vicious cycle of continued

perhaps your depression and anxiety treatment failed, if so its a bit late to start now anyhow, breathe deep and slow when stressed and this will calm you, so will any valium type pills you can get hold of dont tense up or fight back against the anxiety, accept it , realx and breathe deep and slow see school counsellor if there is one

Think of something calming or distracting, like a beach or elephant riding a unicycle. If you keep thinking weird thoughts and questioning them you will soon forget why were you anxious.

Source(s): I used to be a dyslexic, OCD child with hyper anxiety attacks. Since the day I've tried to stay in my thoughts, I can now process words better and can stay calm even when buried alive.
